What
We Believe
The
spiritual basis of our military ministry
These are brief statements
about what we believe. If you have any questions or comments about them
we would be happy to discuss them with you. Simply email us your questions
or comments by clicking on the mailbox at the bottom of the page.

God the Father
God
exists and has always existed. He is personal and real. He is loving, gracious,
and merciful. He is also just and righteous. He is all knowing and has
allowed Himself to be known by the human beings He created. He has revealed
Himself to human beings through His Creation, His written Word - the Bible,
and through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Jesus Christ
God
has fully and finally revealed and incarnated Himself in His sinless Son,
the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the second Person
of the Divine Trinity, sharing all the attributes of the Godhead. He died
vicariously for sinners and rose again bodily for their justification.
He alone is "the way, the truth, and the life" whereby salvation is effected
by the grace of God. No one can come to the Father except through Jesus
Christ; therefore, we preach "Jesus Christ and Him crucified." Jesus Christ
is also the
Baptizer with the Holy Spirit.

Holy Spirit
God
sent His Holy Spirit, the third Person of the
Divine Trinity, into the world. He brings conviction of sin and draws people
to Jesus Christ for salvation. He then enters the lives of repentant believers
to regenerate and sanctify them.
Subsequent
to salvation, believers are to be filled with the
Holy Spirit to empower them to be witnesses of Jesus Christ. This filling
occurs when the believer is baptized by Jesus Christ with the Holy Spirit.
The initial evidence of having been baptized with the Holy Spirit is the
believer's speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit enables them.
The
purpose of this baptism in the Holy Spirit is for the enduement of power
to bear credible witness about Jesus Christ both behaviorally and verbally.

Bible
God
has spoken finally, authoritatively, and clearly in the totally inspired,
fully truthful Bible, the Word of God. The Scriptures, consisting of the
infallible and inerrant Old and New Testaments, alone are the final foundation
and standard for all theology, doctrine, and Christian experience. The
Bible is the source of our message and the final authority for all our
military ministry.

Salvation
Salvation
is obtained through faith in Jesus Christ and His sinless life, death,
burial, and resurrection. It is only through a personal, ongoing, relationship
with Jesus Christ that a person can experience the forgiveness of sins
and the abundant life Jesus promised. The act of receiving
Jesus Christ into ones life is the beginning of that abundant life
and is referred to in the Bible as being born again; as part of this salvation
we also receive eternal life.
Those
who receive Jesus Christ as their savior and lord will go to heaven when
they die. Those who do not believe and receive Jesus Christ into their
lives will go to hell when they die.
The
decision to receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord is a personal one and
must be individually made by every individual. Being born into a 'Christian'
family, being baptized either as an infant or as an adult, or being raised
in a particular church does not mean a person has received salvation.

Water Baptism
Water
baptism is the outward act of public identification with Jesus Christ as
Lord and Savior. It is the outward testimony of the change that has taken
place inside a person’s heart as a result of believing in Jesus Christ.
The act of water baptism does not save a person or make them a Christian;
it is an act of obedience to Jesus Christ and should be performed as soon
following the acceptance of Jesus Christ as Savior as possible.

Spirit Baptism
Being
baptized in the Holy Spirit is the divine impartation
of power from God to be a credible witness for Jesus Christ. Christians,
when confronted with opportunities to witness for Jesus Christ, don’t because
of fear or timidity. The baptism in the Holy Spirit gives a person divine
power (boldness) to witness, a spirit inspired prayer language, and the
ability to function in the realm of the spiritual gifts as the Holy Spirit
confirms their witness for Jesus Christ with signs and wonders.

Prayer
It
is God's will that the work of evangelism be accomplished with His power.
God, therefore, expects us to practice and promote earnest personal and
corporate prayer for Spirit-filled living
and for a spiritual harvest of the lost.

Spiritual Gifts
The
Holy Spirit has endowed the church of Jesus Christ with spiritual gifts.
These gifts are: the word of wisdom, the word of knowledge, faith, gifts
of healing, working of miracles, prophecy, distinguishing of spirits, the
gift of tongues, and the interpretation of tongues. These gifts are bestowed
on individual believers as the Holy Spirit chooses; these gifts are evident
in the church today and vital to its health; they are not the same as the
initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

Second Coming
of Jesus Christ
Jesus
Christ is physically returning to this earth! His return consists of several
significant events: the resurrection of the bodies of those who died as
believers in Jesus Christ and the catching away of those resurrected bodies
and the bodies of those believers who are still alive on the earth at that
time. Both groups will receive new, eternal, bodies as they meet Jesus
in the air; and the souls of those who were dead will be reunited with
their new bodies. All will then return to earth with Him to establish His
millennial kingdom on earth for one thousand years.

Eternity
Each
person will stand before Jesus Christ at the great white throne judgment.
Those whose names are found written in the Lamb's Book of Life as a result
of having accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior during their live time
will live eternally in God's presence as His redeemed, resurrected people.
Those whose names are not found written in the Lamb's Book of Life because
they had rejected Jesus Christ will spend eternity separated from God in
the place the Bible calls the Lake of Fire. Therefore, to evangelize is
essential for the eternal well-being of all people.
