GOD DOESN’T DRAFT PEOPLE!
The Harvest Fields Are Ripe!
Matthew 9:37-38
"Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest
is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest therefore,
to send out workers into His harvest field.”
¨ The harvest is plentiful!
-
People are searching for truth and spiritual reality!
¨ The laborers are few!
-
There are not very many people who are willing to be soul winners
¨ Ask the Lord of the harvest to send out workers
-
We are to pray and ask God to send out workers into His harvest fields
The Call For Harvesters
Isaiah 6:1-4
“In the year that King Uzziah died, I
saw the Lord seated on a throne, high and exalted, and the train of his
robe filled the temple. Above him were seraphs, each with six wings: With
two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and
with two they were flying. And they were calling to one another: "Holy,
holy, holy is the LORD Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory."
At the sound of their voices the doorposts and thresholds shook and the
temple was filled with smoke.”
¨ Isaiah has a vision of the Lord!
Isaiah 6:5
"Woe to me!" I cried. "I am ruined! For I am
a man of unclean lips, and I live among a people of unclean lips, and my
eyes have seen the King, the LORD Almighty."
¨ Isaiah suddenly felt the awfulness of his sin and the sin of
those around him
¨ Isaiah confesses that he is a man of unclean lips
¨ Isaiah also confesses that he is living among a people of unclean
lips
Isaiah 6:6-7
“Then one of the seraphs flew to me with
a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with tongs from the altar.
With it he touched my mouth and said, "See, this has touched your lips;
your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for."
¨ God provides for the forgiveness of Isaiah’s sins.
Jesus’ death on the cross provides our cleansing
Isaiah 6:8
Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying,
"Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send
me!"
¨ Isaiah hears God’s call and responds positively. Will you answer
the call of God? |
