The featured articles are excellent essays on a variety of issues including: an example of the value of military bands in forging cross cultural relations, a poem entitled "A Soldier's Christmas" by Michael Parks, a report from an Assemblies of God Army chaplain in Iraq during the attack on the mess hall on December 21, 2004 entitled "In The Hard Times," and an article by Nathan Carr dealing with the concept of how Christians should respond in today's globalized religious conflict, where religion is gaining recognition as an indispensable piece of any social or political dialogue.
Spiritual Readiness
In the military, most of us are familiar with the concept of "combat readiness." But to be combat ready another readiness concept is necessary - spiritual readiness. But again, there are a lot of different opinions about what "spiritual readiness" is. The articles in this topic address how a person can be spiritually ready to go into combat. Included here is the pamphlet entitled "Have You Heard of the Four Spiritual Laws" which is an excellent explanation of how to become a Christian.
Who Is Jesus?
In this day and age, coming to grips with who Jesus Christ is, and what impact He should have on our lives, is essential. It's acceptable today, and even popular, to be "spiritual" or to believe in "God." But what about Jesus Christ? Where does He fit into the picture?
